Hello reflective teachers!

Hello reflective teachers!

My name is Zhenya Polosatova, I am from Ukraine and mostly based there. Have been in ELT for the last 20 years as a teacher, trainer and trainer coach (freelance and with SIT World Learning), Cambridge Speaking Examiner, and many other roles. Have been freelancing in the past years and have not been regularly teaching EFL students (and trying to compensate that by working with teachers I know, facilitating a reflective practice group in Ukraine, exercising lesson planning, attending conferences and courses when possible).
No matter what I am doing I try to reflect on my practices.
Am looking forward to learning with you and from you all. And...excited to see fellow Ukrainian ELT-ers as course members! :-)

  3. Zhenya, happy to hear you have been involved with SIT. In the past the people there were very open to alternatives and invited people to teach there who were out of the mainstream and so contributed a lot to innovation.

  4. John Fanselow I'd like to believe that what you said is still true, especially about open-mindedness and looking at alternatives and options. A strong belief in reflective practices from the vey first steps of teacher development is a value I share. Have you worked with SIT in the past?
